I used one panel of 12 sts and placed 6 sts of stockinette on each side of the cable panel. I also used an additional 4 sts on each side for a seed stitch border. So all total for this swatch I cast on 32 sts. I repeated the all the rows of the stitch pattern twice. The measurements of the swatch blocked is: 6.5 inches wide by 6 inches tall.

Cables are not one of my knitting strong points but overall I think this one went well.
