Knotted Rib

September 7, 2010 – jprater28209

Yarn:  Plymouth Galway
Needles: 3.25 mm, US 3
Gauge:  35 sts and 32 rows / 4 inches
Pattern: Knotted Rib
Stitch Count Repeat:  Multiple of 3 stitches plus 2

Book: A Treasury of Knitting Patterns
Page: 48

Comments: Fabric is dense and stable.  The pattern is as easy as a plain 2 x 2 rib.  The back of the Knotted Rib stitch pattern looks much like a normal 2×2 rib, except the area between the knit sts is narrower and firmer.  (See WS photo below)
