Dainty Chevron

Dainty Chevron

Yarn: Tahki Cotton Classic
Needles: Size 5 US (3.75 mm)
Gauge: 17 sts = 4 inches
Pattern: Dainty Chevron
Stitch Count Repeat: Multiple of 8 sts
Book: A Second Treasury of Knitting Patterns
Page: 275
Comments: This pattern should not be blocked too severly as it stretches out and flattens the chevrons. The picture in the book shows the chevrons slightly bunched up, and I think it looks better. The pattern forms a gently scalloped cast on edge.

This is a beautiful swatch, too. The yarn was just perfect to show off the stitches! Thanks for your note about not stretching the pattern out too much. I like the way you’ve blocked your swatch to show off the lace.

Thank you for your comment! I think I blocked it out too much, because the chevrons are too flattened out. But I love the look of it in this yarn and the edging is fun, too.
