A very pretty lace pattern in a lovely color. Very nice!

Is there an error or revision in this pattern in any edition of the Second Treasury? I have a version that doesn’t seem to have the right number of stitches – k4, then repeat sequences of 14 stitches, then k4 at the end – for row 12. All other rows are a (multiple of 14) + 3, but this one row is (multiple of 14) + 8.

    Thanks for any insights.

Checked my copy and the last instructions for row 12 are:
“… k5; rep from *, end last repeat in k4”

So the the row isn’t 4 + 14 + 4, but 4 + 13, since the last repeat of the pattern sequence is shortened by one stitch.

Instead of knitting 5 for the last repeat, you only knit 4, not 4 stitches in addition to the repeat. That’d read: “… k5; rep from *, end k4”

      • Sabrina Says:

Actually, that repeat should read 4 + 14x + 13, with x being the number of repeats minus 1

Thank you, Sabrina! This will teach me to read more carefully.
