Ear of Corn

ear of corn

Yarn: Sirdar Tropicana, cotton effect dk
Wraps Per Inch: 10 wpi
Needles: 3mm aluminium (prym)
Gauge: 30 st and 40 rows to 10cm/4 inches
Pattern: Ear of Corn
Stitch Count Repeat: Multiple of 8 stitches
Book: Charted Knitting Designs – A Third Treasury of Knitting Patterns
Page: 38

Comments: Barbara Walker distinguishes between two different types (each) of right and left twist. Check the chart and compare with the instructions given on page xxii of the ‘complete list of symbols’ at the start of the 3rd treasury. The type of right and left twist she uses in the ‘Ear of Corn’ chart gives a slightly ‘puffier’ end result.
