Comments: The swatch was 3 repeats wide by 3.5 high. Blocked, it measured 6.25in wide by 5.8in high. Unblocked it was 4.5in wide by 4in high. It’s a fairly stretchy pattern in both directions, slightly more so vertically. While blocking enhanced the pattern, I quite like the unblocked version too (see below).

    that’s so interesting to see the blocked and unblocked version. Great job on blocking, by the way. It’s definitely one of the things that scares me about the idea of using lace for more than maybe a border.
