    I was looking at this one just yesterday, Nov. 1, 2007, and thinking it’s great but the diagonals start up too high.

    The symbol comes from the flag semaphore symbols for N and D as in Nuclear Disarmament. How many people knew that??

    Me for one. I agree as well that it isn’t “accurate”, but merely a nod in that general direction. The look of the piece will be affected by row gauge to a certain extent. However I’m not sure it would make _that_ much difference.

    Having made this one, it would be relatively easy to redesign so that it is more in keeping with the actual symbol. Now just to find the time… :)
