I am making a scarf out of this stitch pattern. The scarf pattern is Liesel from http://yummyyarn.indus3ous.com/patterns/MJG_Liesel.pdf It only requires about 200 yards of worsted weight, plus or minus, so it is a good pattern for using up that odd couple of balls of something pretty.

It is coming out quite pretty, but requires heavy reliance on the chart, as it has patterning on both sides, and the repeat is fairly wide and asymmetrical.

is it not supposed to be blocked, or is that how it turns out?

It’s unfortunately very hard to see the pattern with the yarn that you chose. Do you have any clearer photos, or examples that you’ve done in a plainer yarn?
